Make a Wish, PP211 & FMS151

Greetings, Stampers! The wonderful and amazing Nance Leedy is hostess this week at The Paper Players! This week it's time to play Tic-Tac-Toe, my favorite! I started at the top left and across to the bottom right, Birthday, Embossing and Purple.

The other day I was taking a walk and found this beautiful feather on the ground, and immediately knew it would make it's way onto a card. I created this collage-style card for my son's girlfriend. She's a nursing major with an art minor, and very talented. I wanted to make something a little special, and my son said her favorite color was purple, which worked perfectly with the Tic-Tac-Toe board!
Love, love, love this sketch by Kim at Freshly Made Sketches! I got a little carried away with my layers so I don't know if my card is quite "clean" enough, but I did stick to the sketch!

The only thing I stamped was the sentiment, once in Blackberry Bliss and once in Strawberry Slush. The "a" in the center was punched with a 3/8" Circle Punch.

I love that you used a real feather on this. I just found a feather yesterday that looked like it had white polka dots on it and thought of a friend who loves black and white polka dots and now you've inspired me to use that feather on a card. Your card is lovely and so special, she'll surely treasure it.

Sandy, your creation is gorgeous! I have found feathers from Stellar Jays here in Idyllwild. They are a combination of Pacific Point and Basic Black. After seeing your card I finally know what I'll do with them!

Sandy, this card rocks! Were it not a DT card, it would be my headliner for sure. :-) Love the artsy combination of stripes, lace and sequins but it's the feather that sets this beauty apart. FABulous. my friend!
