Sweetbriar Rose for The Paper Players #204

Greetings, Stampers! It's Sunday and time for another fun challenge at The Paper Players! This week the lovely LeAnne is hostess, and she has an awesome color challenge for us to play along with!

I thought this color combo would look pretty watercolored in a floral image, and I chose one of my new favorite stamps, Sweetbriar Rose. The image was stamped in Black Stazon and colored in with Ink Pads and an Aqua Painter.

The inspiration for my layout was from Julee at Mojo Monday. I had to move the element at the bottom right corner to the top left so as not to cover up the sentiment, in this case just the name of the flower.

I blended together both the Wisteria Wonder and Blackberry Bliss inks on the blossoms for a pretty shaded effect. Mossy Meadow was used on the leaves, and I did a wash of Lost Lagoon in the background.

Stampin' Up Proucts Used:
Stamp Sets: Sweetbriar Rose
Card Stock: Naturals White, Blackberry Bliss
Designer Series Paper: All Abloom
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Mossy Meadow, Lost Lagoon, Blackberry Bliss, Wisteria Wonder
Tools: Scallop Edge Border Punch, Aqua Painter
Accessories: Lost Lagoon Stitched Satin Ribbon, Watercolor Paper, Very Vintage Buttons, Linen Thread

Thanks for stopping by and be sure to visit the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players! We hope you'll play along this week, too!
