Eek! I'm running a bit behind today, Stampers! I meant to post this last night but DH and I got super involved putting together a new TV stand and hooking up a new TV. Love them both! DH requested that I make a retirement card for a friend of ours, and it needed to be masculine. I pulled out a retired stamp set, Uncharted Territory, and a retired background stamp, Netting.
The layout inspiration came from this great sketch from the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge.
I love the look of this sailboat for a retirement card. The background was stamped in Basic Black ink and the sailboat and sentiment were heat embossed with Black Embossing Powder for a little added shine, which I couldn't seem to capture in my photograph.

Me and DD are off to the beach today! I hope you have a fun day, too!

Love your card Sandy! You always have "such a way" to make them stand out and feel unique or different or more fresh! The netting bg stamp is an unexpected surprise and works so well! What a great card; TFS! :)
