Sophisticated Sea Street, CMCC23 & SSSC221

At first glance you may think the images in the Sea Street Stamp Set are more suited to children's projects, but Sea Street has a more serious side, too. Paired with monochromatic papers from Maritime and trimmed in Basic Black, I think it looks pretty sophisticated! This clean and simple card is going to be for my nephew, who just came home after spending four years in Boston. I think the nautical theme is perfect for him!

Today I'm playing along with two challenges, the monochromatic challenge at Colour Me! and the sketch at Sweet Sunday.

Everything lined up perfectly with the help of my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig. I don't know what I would do without that thing!

Here's the matching envelope. I haven't decided what I'm doing on the inside yet. I need more birthday sentiments for card insides. Time to go shopping!

Stampin' Up Products Used:

  1. Hi Sandy, thanks for such kind comments on my blog the other day about my Paper Craft Crew card! I'm loving your take on this Sea Street themed cad! You have succeeded in not making it look too childish, which is what I first thought when I saw the new set! And I love a monochromatic color scheme. Happy stamping!
