Work of Art Sneak Peak, CQC240 & RS113

Greetings, Friends! As I mentioned the other day, I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Stampin' Up Catalog Premiere event last Monday in Hartford, CT. Besides the fun of seeing all the new products, getting together with other demonstrators and going home with a new catalog before it was released, another perk was a free stamp set, Work of Art. I must admit that this is not one of the stamp sets that would have jumped out at me in the catalog, but after seeing all the gorgeous samples they showed us I was in love.

My CAS creation using Work of Art was inspired by the fabulous sketch at Retro Sketches and the soft, feminine color combo at ColourQ. Though I was so tempted to do a floral with these delicious colors, I wanted to show off the new stamp set. Besides, between Easter, Spring and Mother's Day, I've kind of been on flower overload! Sage Shadow is a color long retired and I really don't have anything similar,so I chose to substitute Coastal Cabana, which I stamped off twice for the background.

I used my trusty Stamp-A-Ma-Jig to get the chevrons evenly lined up. I stamped off the Strawberry Slush and Pear Pizzazz also, for a softer shade of these colors.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Work of Art
Card Stock: Whisper White, Strawberry Slush
Ink Pads: Strawberry Slush, Pink Pirrouette, Pear Pizzazz, Coastal Cabana, Black Stazon
Tools: Stamp-A-Ma-Jig
Accessories: Natural Trim, Gold Sequin Trim, Linen Thread, Subtles Buttons

As per SU policy, I can't show you images of the stamps yet, but I can show you the cover of the new catalog. For more details on getting a copy of your own, click here.

Thanks for visiting!

  1. Hi Sandy, First my apologies for being so delinquent in saying this, but it was a pleasure to have met you (and Justin) in person at the Catalog Premiere event in Branford. It's always so nice to be able to put a face with the name of those I follow frequently on blogs. So, a pleasure. And second, I LOOOOoooove what you have done with the new Work of Art stamp set. This is great! Hugs xo
