Lookin' Fine, Graduate! PP197

Happy Sunday, everyone! I hope you are all enjoying a nice Memorial Day weekend. I'm hoping to work in the garden a bit today and plant some annuals and herbs. How about you? Today at The Paper Players, the always amazing LeAnne has an awesome sketch for us!

Before I share my project, I just wanted to share a quick pic of the air show I attented at Jones Beach yesterday, featuring the amazing Blue Angels. I tried to takes some pics of my own, but these dudes move so fast! I borrowed this pic from My niece and I biked up the Wantagh Parkway and saw them in person yesterday. So awesome! As we were biking up the trail, a jet passed so low over our heads we almost fell off our bikes! I loved it, LOL! I am usually one who enjoys nature and quiet places, but the scream of those jet engines is so cool!

OK, on to the project! I was in need of another graduation card, and this sketch worked perfectly. I also took this opportunity to showcase a retiring stamp set, Pure Gumption. This is my go-to set for graduation cards, and a set that I'll likely hold on to forever. It looks totally masculine with the black, vanilla and gold color scheme and stripes.

The inside of my card...

... and another graduation cap on the envelope. Everything was heat embossed with gold embossing powder and looks much shinier IRL!

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Pure Gumption
Card Stock: Very Vanilla, Basic Black, Brushed Gold
Designer Series Paper: Modern Medley
Ink Pads: Versamark
Tools: Large Oval Punch, Heat Tool
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder

Please play along with us this week at The Paper Players! Stop by and say hello to the rest of the Design Team, too!
