Clockworks Birthday, FMS134 & PPA202

Greetings, Stampers! I hope you all had a nice weekend. Like yesterday, today's post is a little photo heavy but I'll try to make up for it by speaking a little less! My big brother's birthday is coming up soon. Big brother is incredibly talented and rebuilds antique clocks and pianos, as well as tune pianos for concert pianists. I think he is really going to like this card, using the Clockworks Stamp Set, which is retiring June 4. The sentiment is from From My Heart, and I think it pairs perfectly.

Stamp sets in hand, I went in search of a complimentary layout and masculine color combination. I found them in the challenges at Freshly Made Sketches and Pals Paper Arts. I don't know if my card is really "clean" enough for FMS as I got a little carried away stamping and sponging, but I guess they'll let me know! I did try to leave a little white space!

I love the way these images stamp collage style! The clock gears are quite reminiscent of brother's workshop.

The pocket watch was cut out by hand and popped up with Dimensionals. The narrow embossed strip was made using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder, also retiring June 4.

For the inside of my card, I was so pleased to discover that the birthday sentiment fit perfectly in the frame of the same sentiment I used on the front of the card, which I selectively colored with markers.

A matching envie, of course!
