Inchie Fun and a Fond Farewell to Dynamic Duos

I saw an "inchie" card on Pinterest the other day, a card made using 1" square peices of paper. I re-pinned it and decided I should start a new board for inchies. Then I went through my other boards and re-pinned other inchies, searched for new inchies, and before you know I had a board filled with over 100 samples. Loaded with all that new inspiration I knew I had to make an inchie card of my own!

The soft, beautiful colors were the work of the design team at Dynamic Duos, which I am so sad to say is having it's final challenge this week. A big Thank You goes to Anne Marie, Lesley and the rest of the design team for all of it's wonderful inspiration each week. Best wishes to all in their future endeavors.

I must say I love the way this background came out. I used Whisper White Card Stock and the Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set and embossed one piece with White Embossing Powder and one with Pewter Embossing Powder. I sponged them each with ink in the challenge colors, then punched out my inchies with a 1" Square Punch. I alternated the pieces to make a fun design. I tried in vain to add a sentiment but decided I would save it for inside, and instead added three clean and simple white butterflies with Candy Dots.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Flowering Flourishes
Card Stock: Whisper White, Pool Party
Ink Pads: Versamark, So Saffron, Pool Party, Smoky Slate
Tools: Heat Tool, 1" Square and Bitty Butterfly Punches
Accessories: White and Pewter Embossing Powders, Subtles Candy Dots

Thanks so much for visiting today! Please let me know what you think of my card!

  2. Hi Sandy, so happy you found my inchie blog! Your card is just delightful - gorgeous!! I have pinned it too. I don't make all my grid cards with exact inch measurements. I have three square punches which are all different in size, from very small to about 1 1/4 inches. Thanks for sharing!
