Wishing for Spring

Greetings, Friends! It's time for a new challenge from The Paper Players, and this week the awesome Jaydee is challenging us to make a clean and simple card with a Spring theme.

While I was making this card the temperatures were in the 20's and the wind was howling, far from a spring-like day. All I kept thinking was "I wish it were Spring", hence the sentiment on the card! Birds and flowers always make me think of spring, so I decided to use the Betsy's Blossoms Stamp Set. I think the images are so cheerful.

I used the happy color combo from Pals Paper Arts and the sketch from CAS(E) this sketch.

I kept things super clean and simple. Only white card stock plus a little DSP were used, and the only tool used was a punch to cut out the circle. All the images were cut out by hand.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Betsy's Blossoms, Sweet Essentials
Card Stock: Whisper White
Designer Series Paper: Regals and Subtles Stacks
Ink Pads: Rose Red, So Saffron, Wild Wasabi
Tools: 2 1/2" Circle Punch

Thanks so much for visiting today! Please pay a visit to the rest of the Design Team at The Paper Players, and we'd love if you play along, too!

  4. Such a cheerful card, Sandy! I love how you paired the colors and the sketch with that stamp set. Simply spring perfection! You certainly need a break from this long winter up there. Sheesh! I saw last week that they were dumped on with snow again back home in Syracuse. It's the never-ending winter isn't it? Sending warmer weather vibes your way, my friend. :)
