Lovely as a Tree, STB & FM150

Hi there, Friends! The other night my stamp class got together, and the theme this month was birthday cards. We made four different styles, but this one, the masculine style, was by far my favorite. I features the classic Lovely as a Tree stamp set. You can never go wrong with this set!

I'm playing along with the "Anything Goes" Birthday Challenge at Seize the Birthday. I hope they don't mind me entering twice in one week! I'm also playing along with the challenge at Friday Mashup, to make a masculine card, though I didn't "mash it up" with stitching.

Both the sentiment and image were stamped in Black Stazon Ink onto Naturals Ivory Card Stock. This card stock is a great alternative to watercolor paper. It's just about as sturdy, won't easily pill and is much less expensive. We colored the tree in with ink pads and an Aqua Painter. The base of the card is Early Espresso Core'dinations Card Stock, which adds some more texture.

  5. This is such a great card and perfect for a masculine card although it would work for a girls card too! Love the watercolour effect on the tree. Thanks for joining us at Seize The Birthday this week.
