Wetlands Birthday, DD85 & FM141

Greetings, my inky Friends! I'm still working on making birthday cards for all the birthdays I have coming up this month. This one features the Wetlands Stamp Set and Sycamore Street Designer Series Paper, which is currently available at a deep discount on the Stampin' Up Clearance Rack. This is my favorite pattern in the package and reminds me of vintage wallpaper.

This great color combo is compliments of the Design Team at Dynamic Duos. I chose to keep Summer Starfruit the dominant color, with just a splash of Garden Green. I love these colors together!

This layout from Friday Mashup was perfect for the tall grasses and sentiment I wanted to use. Their challenge this week is to: Create a project with the "Sketch", create a project using "the theme of Time", or Mash it Up and create a project "a theme of Time & the Sketch." Though I didn't really use the Time theme, a birthday signifies another year passed and the passing of time, doesn't it? OK there I go stretching things a bit again!

This was a quick, clean and simple card to make, no fancy tools required. The stamp was colored with markers. A single Candy Dot was the only embellishment needed.

  1. Sandy, a very nice and clean creation...which I need to do more often! I seem to always be trying to make a master piece and then it ends up taking me 1/2 a day to complete it. Sometimes less is more, right? Thanks for joining us at Dynamic Duos this week! :)
