Greetings, Stampers! It's the first Paper Players challenge of the year, woo hoo! Though it was nice to take a little break at the busiest time of the year, I missed my Players and I'm glad we're back. The ever-clever Nance Leedy is hostess this week and she has us starting the New Year with "A Clean Slate", projects featuring the Chalkboard Technique.
I wanted to take this opportunity to play with some new products, too. I used the Vivid Vases Stamp Set, Sweet Sorbet Designer Series Paper and adorable cork flowers from the Sweet Sorbet Accessory Pack.
If you've never done it before, the Chalkboard Technique is easy as can be. Simply heat emboss your image with White Embossing Powder onto black or another dark color card stock. Using a sponge and some White Craft Ink, add a little "chalk dust" in a few random places. Less is more when it comes to the sponging part and I suggest trying it out on a scrap first.
Aren't these cork flowers the cutest? I added a Rhinestone to the center of each one for a little added bling.
