Happy Watercolor for Leadership

Hello, friends! I was not able to attend Stampin' Up's Leadership Conference this year in Texas, but one of my cards did. My good friend and fellow demonstrator Justin asked me to make a card for his display board, and this was what I came up with. I wanted to feature a few new products in the Occassions Catalog, so I used the Happy Watercolor Stamp Set, Gold Baker's Twine and Gold Sequin Trim.

To make my focal image, first I stamped the flower and sentiment with Black Stazon Ink. Then I colored my flower with ink pads and an Aqua Painter. I stamped the flower a second time on scrap paper and cut it out, layering it on top of the first to create a mask. Then I sponged the background using three different colors of ink.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Happy Watercolor
Card Stock: Baked Brown Sugar, So Saffron
Designer Series Paper: Neutrals Stack
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Real Red, Pear Pizzazz, So Saffron, Pool Party, Summer Starfruit
Tools: Aqua Painter, Stampin' Sponges
Accessories: Watercolor Paper, Tea Lace Paper Doilies, Gold Sequin Trim, Gold Baker's Twine

Have an awesome day!

I saw this one in person, and it is beautiful! The background sponging is really striking.

Sandy, this is gorgeous. I can believe that it's even more beautiful in person. The background is perfectly soft and it really allows the focal point to pop.
