Greetings, all! Here we are on the first Monday of 2014, and I'm looking forward to the New Year and getting back to a normal schedule. I even got myself back to the gym today, woo hoo! There are lots of birthdays on my calendar in January, so you'll be seeing a bunch of birthday cards on my blog over the next few weeks. First up is a card for my nephew who is turning the big 13 this month! My inspiration for his card came from the three challenges I'm playing along with.
It always an "Anything Goes" Birthday Challenge at Seize the Birthday, but the optional "Toppings" theme this week is Numbers. Count me in! Pun intended, LOL!
I thought the color challenge at Pals Paper Arts would work well for a young male birthday, always a challenging subject for me.
I chose the layout from The Deconstructed Sketch as I thought the center panel would be the perfect place to showcase the numbers "13".
I used the new Perfect Pennants Stamp Set for the striped pennant and the gold embossed star. The shine of the gold foil, embossing and sequins is so pretty! Oops, I mean cool!
Every card looks a little better with a matching envelope liner, don't you think?
