Zoo Review Penguin, PP170

Greetings, and welcome to another Sunday and another challenge from The Paper Players! This week the uber-talented Jaydee is hostess, and she has a fun wildlife theme for us. Kudos to Nance also, for creating the adorable challenge badge! I love it!

I had something entirely different in mind when I pulled out my Zoo Review stamp set for this challenge, but after playing around a bit I decided the penguin would be fun for a holiday card.  I chose a frosty background of Pool Party, Island Indigo and Whisper White.

I used several embossing folders for lots of texture. The Indigo panel was embossed with the Northern Flurry embossing folder, and then I accented the raised areas with Dazzling Details glitter glue. It's much more sparkly in person! All the white areas were sponged with Pool Party. The penguin was stamped in Black Stazon ink, then I colored in some of the areas (like his head) with a Basic Black marker.

Stampin' Up Products Used:

Card Stock: Pool Party, Island Indigo, Whisper White
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Island Indigo

PS: I'll be taking a little break from blogging this week, but I'll be busy as a little elf in my workshop! I'll be busy preparing lots of awesome projects for a special surprise week beginning Monday, November 11 and ending in a blog candy giveaway! You won't want to miss it so be sure to tune in then!
