Happy Friday, everyone! It's the weekend before Thanksgiving and then right into the holiday season, so the busy factor is going to jump for all of us now. I hope you will still set time aside for needed craft therapy from time to time. It's just as important as taking your vitamins!
Today's card is for my big sister. She's not a pink and sparkly girly girl, but rather loves nature and the outdoors and earthy, natural colors. So I wanted to create something along those lines while still keeping a feminine touch. How'd I do?
The autumn tones for the color challenge at Create with Connie and Mary were exactly what I had in mind. Great combination! Thanks, ladies!
I loved the simple layout at CAS(E) this sketch, and was inspired by the amazing cards made by the Design Team there.
If you like one layer cards, the front panel of this card could have easily been one. I masked the entire front of the card except for the rectangular panel, and then stamped the En Francais Background Stamp in Sahara Sand. With the mask still on, I sponged the area with more Sahara Sand. I removed the mask and then placed just a strip along the bottom to mask part of the stems. All masks were removed and then I stamped the sentiment and blossoms. Post It tape works great for masking, a little trick I learned from my friend Brian King.
