Morning Meadow, RS85 & DD74

Greetings, Stampers! We all know that chevrons, hexagons, mosaics and other geometric shapes are very much in style now, and I've embraced them all. However, I've really missed the more traditional and vintage style that I'd say is more my own. I'm feeding that craving today with a shabby chic card using the Morning Meadow Stamp Set and Dictionary Background Stamp.

I love the colors this week from Dynamic Duos! As a matter of fact, if you scroll back up you'll notice that these are the colors in my blog header, so I coordinate perfectly today!

It was also love at first sight for the challenge this week at Retro Sketches, lots of yummy layers to play with!

I stamped the Dictionary Background Stamp with Basic Gray Ink onto Very Vanilla Card Stock for a soft, vintage feel. The floral image from the Morning Meadow Stamp Set was colored with markers and stamped, then stamped again without re-inking. The sweet little bird was stamped in Calypso Coral Ink and cut by hand. The So Saffron layers were distressed with the Distressing Tool, and the other layers were sponged with some Crumb Cake Ink.
