Happy Friday, Stampers! I'm posting a tad late today because I was feeling a little under the weather last night and had to finish my card this morning. Sometimes that's not the worst thing in the world, because I good night's sleep can give you a fresh perspective on things, don't you think?
I'd actually planned a different project for today, but fell in love with this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and had to play along. I had most of the "parts" for this card left over from a class I had recently, and just changed up the layout and added a few extra layers, and voila!
The focal piece for this card was really fun to do. For the black layer I stamped my image in Versamark Ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I sponged on a little White Craft Ink for the chalkboard effect. The top layer was stamped in Calypso Coral Ink and punched with the Extra Large Oval Punch. I love the little extra that the tiny punched flower and pearl add.
