Happy Monday, Stampers! How was your weekend? My family had a big 90th birthday party for my MIL on Saturday night, which was loads of fun but ran rather late. As a result I got started pretty late yesterday and didn't accomplish much more than grocery shopping and stamping. That's OK though, it was a good day in my book! There was loads of food leftover from the party so I didn't even have to cook last night. Yay!
I'm always in need of thank you cards, so I made several of today's card which features the Simply Sketched stamp set. It was a really simple card to make, no fancy tools required, and as an added bonus it's very flat and mailable.
The pretty pink color combo is from the challenge this week at Dynamic Duos. Blushing Bride took center stage on my card, with just a tad of Primrose Petals and some Crumb Cake for the leaves.
The layout is from a challenge I'm playing along with for the first time (I think, LOL!) called Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge. There are so many beautiful projects by the design team there, you should go check it out!
I rotated the sketch, like so. Tried as I might I couldn't make anything work for that bottom panel so I hope my sentiment will do.
The images were stamped onto Whisper White Card Stock with Black Stazon Ink. They overlapped slightly, so I stamped the large flower a second time and then cut it out and layered it on top. Everything was colored in with ink pads and an Aqua Painter.
