Happy Monday, Stampers! How was everyone's weekend? Mine was pretty relaxing for a change, and the weather has cooled off quite a bit here in NY. Yesterday I got caught up on some craft projects and I think today I may pull some of my Autumn decorations out of the attic. I love decorating for fall! You won't find any fall colors here today, though. I was inspired to make a CAS black and vanilla card using my new Flowering Flourishes Stamp Set combined with Modern Medley DSP.
The layout was created by Jen B. over at Freshly Made Sketches. I followed the sketch exactly with the exception of moving the Candy Dot element over a bit as they disappeared on my busy DSP. I also had to use three Candy Dots instead of two because I have a thing about groupings in odd numbers. Yes, I clearly have issues.
This was such a simple card to make. I had originally intending on embellishing my flourish with flowers and pearls, but decided I liked it just the way it was, clean and simple.
Too often I make only the outside of a card, and when I'm ready to send it have to sweat the details. This time I made a fully completed card. I stamped the inside with the paired greeting and a smaller flourish.
You can see in the top photo that I made a liner for the envelope using the Envelope Liner Framelit. I stamped the front of the envelope, too. Don't you love getting an envelope in the mail that's been stamped on the outside? I can't wait to see what's inside!
Even the back of my card got a little love. On dark colored cards, I love to add this little tag made with the Tiny Tags Stamp Set and Jewelry Tag Punch.
