Loving Thoughts for The Paper Players

Greetings, Stampers! It's my turn to be hostess this week at The Paper Players and this is the sketch I designed. Though it is a simple and classic layout, it was inspired by a beautiful card I had seen in a magazine.

I decided to use the layout to show off two different patterns in the Venetian Romance DSP package. That paper is sooo pretty! One stamped greeting and a few embellishments later and this simple card was done!

I've seen some beautiful flowers made by others using Creped Filter Paper, and my package has been sitting around for quite some time untouched, so I thought I would try to make one myself. Oh my gosh, I love it! I can't stop touching it, LOL! I punched nine layers (one at a time) of the Creped Filter Paper using the Blossom Punch. I glued one on top of the other using a drop of Tombo Liquid Adhesive. After letting the glue dry for a bit, I just starting crunching and crunching until the flower looked like this. I'm definitely going to have to make a little box to give this in, though. There is no way I am smushing that pretty flower into an envelope!

  2. Sandy, Love this paper and this flower, but I particularly love the random placement of the little flowers on the card. They perfectly balance the card (which, I guess, makes them not randomly placed, huh?). Nice sketch for the challenge, too!
