Today my fine, furry friend Oreo turns 12! Well, he's a rescued kitty so we don't know his exact birth date, but the vet said he was about six months old when he found us so we picked this day. Everyone needs a birthday! Just so you know exactly how silly I really am, I had to post the card I made for him. Yes, I made a card for my cat. There's going to be a little pouch of catnip inside so he's inspired to "open" it, but I can't break out the nip now or he'll be all over me. And the card.
To celebrate Oreo's birthday tonight I am making salmon for dinner. Not farm raised, but Wild Alaskan of course (and the rest of the family is having some too). He's getting a balloon with the string cut just short enough to make him jump for it, and my daughter got him a bottle of catnip scented bubbles. How lucky is he!
I used this vintage but super cute stamp set to make his card. It's called Here Kitty, Kitty. Don't you just love it?! I stamped the images onto Watercolor Paper with Stazon Ink and colored them in with ink pads and an Aqua Painter.
This post would not be complete without some photos of the Man of the Day. He looks so sweet and innocent here, but don't let him fool ya! He's capable of pouncing on an un-suspecting suspect at any time!
Oreo's idea of scrapbooking: nesting on the scrapbook. I guess it was warm and cozy between the printer and the monitor. And close to Mama.
Hmm, how do you work this? I'll figure it out soon...
Not his most flattering angle, but warm and cozy in the sunshine once again.
OK, enough of the Kitty Pics! Just me being silly here today. I hope Oreo and I made you smile! We hope you have a great day and also hope to see you back again tomorrow for a new Paper Players challenge!
