Chalk Talk for The Paper Players

Is it Sunday again already? How did that happen? Well, Sunday is a good thing, because that means it's time to play along with my friends at The Paper Players! This week LeAnne has a super color challenge for us: Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party and Basic Black.

Initially I wasn't quite sure how I would use these colors together. I just started fiddling around with some bits and pieces, then I realized that these colors are so awesome together that you can do almost anything with them and it will look great! The Chalk Talk Stamp Set was on my desk and, prior to this, unused. It needed inking up so it became the basis of my card.

The greeting was stamped with Black Stazon onto Whisper White Card Stock and cut with the Extra Large Oval Punch. The panel behind was heat embossed with White Embossing Powder and cut with the Chalk Talk Framelits Dies. After that are two more die cut layers, two layers of DSP, and some Delicate Details Lace Tape. I keep forgetting I have that tape!

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Chalk Talk
Card Stock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Pool Party, Basic Black
Designer Series Paper: Subtles & Brights Stacks
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Versamark
Tools: Heat Tool, Big Shot, Chalk Talk, Labels Collection and Bitty Banners Framelits, Extra Large Oval and Itty Bitty Shapes Punches
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Rhinestones, Delicate Details Lace Tape

We'd love for you to join us this week at The Paper Players so please play along!

Thanks for visiting!

Chalk Talk is quickly becoming one of my favorite sets and dies....and look how beautiful it is here with the challenge colors! LOVE it! The lace peeking out from your vertical panel is just perfect with the DP you used! And that black banner adds just the right bit of contrast! Fabulous!

Sandy, I agree... I would never have used these colors, but realized how gorgeous they were when I started playing around with them! I love the banners going both ways. They really create great movement around the card.
