Happy Independence Day, Stampers! Did you all remember to hang your American Flag today? I'll be doing the same thing as most of you today, spending time with family and friends and eating burgers, dogs and watermelon. I'll also be keeping an eye on my kitty Oreo, who does not like this holiday one bit. It's a very stressful day for pets. Don't forget to keep yours close!
I love an opportunity to make a patriotic card, and as usual this one is destined for Operation Write Home. I used my new Simply Stars stamp set, and once again combined it with the Gorgeous Grunge stamp set. I think these two sets work so well together. With a simple change of the sentiment, this card would work equally well for a boy's birthday.
This great, classic layout was provided by Allisa at Freshly Made Sketches.
I had intended on creating this card last night but I was too pooped! It was just as well, because I woke up this morning and saw a perfect color combo for my project at Pals Paper Arts.
This was a simple card, so there's not much to explain. The Bitty Banner was cut out with a Framelit, and the stars were cut out by hand. A few dimensionals pop up the entire panel.
