Morning Meadow Birthday, CTS36, FM118, STB21

Greetings on this fine Sunday Morning! I had a super relaxing day yesterday as I decided I needed a mental health day and did a whole lot of nothing. It was wonderful! I spent a relaxing hour or two in my crafty place and came up with this card for three challenges using the Morning Meadow Stamp Set. I really love this set!

As soon as I saw the challenge at CAS(E) this sketch I thought it looked just like the images in the Morning Meadow Stamp Set and I had to use it. I was also inspired by my stamping buddy LeAnne's project using this sketch.

I found my color inspiration at Friday Mashup. This is their challenge this week: Create a project using the colors "Pool Party, Crisp Cantaloupe, Calypso Coral & Smoky Slate or Soft Suede", or Create a project with a "Nature Theme", Or Mash it Up and create a "Nature Themed project using the Challenge Colors". The feather theme was perfect for my little birdie!

This month at Seize the Birthday, it's "Anything Goes" all month long! So, here's my anything!

Some deets: I used the Birthday Essentials DSP for my background, and stamped on it with the image from Morning Meadow using Crisp Cantaloupe ink. The image behind the greeting was stamped in Versamark ink and heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. Then I sponged that area using a Sponge Dauber and Soft Suede Ink. The bird was stamped in Pool Party and cut out by hand. A few sequins were scattered about and centered with some pearls.

  4. Beautiful! You are so brave to stamp on DSP.... I'm always afraid to. Love how you created contrast with the embossing/sponging. Thanks for joining the Friday Mashup this week.

  7. Really elegant card. Love what you did behind the sentiment. I thought initially it was an acetate overlay. Really pretty. TFS.
