Greetings, all! I was not able to make or post a card yesterday for good reason. My DH has been in the hospital with heart problems for the last several days and yesterday he had a quadruple bypass surgery performed. I didn't want to talk about it until after it was done because I was too scared! Thankfully he came out of the surgery with flying colors, and by evening we were watching Wheel of Fortune and then the Yankee game together. Phew, I'm so relieved! I'll keep you posted on his progress.
I do have a simple card to share with you this morning before I head back over to the hospital. I already had the focal image stamped and waiting for some additional inspiration, so the card came together in a flash. I love how the Wetlands stamp set looks in a neutral color scheme and combined with the geometric patterns of the Modern Medley DSP.
My inspiration was found at this weeks Retro Sketches challenge, but then again, their sketches always inspire me!
For my focal image, first I stamped the goose in Black Stazon onto Naturals Ivory Card Stock. I stamped again onto scrap paper, and cut the second image out for a mask. I adhered it over the first image with temporary adhesive, then stamped the grasses in Sahara Sand.
