Modern Joy for FM120

Good Monday Morning, Stampers! I've got a busy day today so this will be a quick post with a sneak peek. I created this modern holiday card with the focus on the greeting. I used Silver Foil Sheets and Winter Frost DSP, both new to the Stampin' Up holiday catalog to be released August 1, right around the corner!

I'm loving all these Christmas in July challenges! Here's the challenge at Friday Mashup this week: Create a project for "Christmas / Hanukkah", or Create a project with "Stripes", or Mash it Up and create a "Christmas / Hanukkah project with Stripes". I mashed it up this week and did both!

To create my "JOY" letters, I used Silver Foil sheets and adhered them to Coaster Board using a glue stick. Then I cut them out with the Big Shot using the Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies. I love how the letters are chunky and easier to work with than cutting with just the foil alone. Yet, the Coaster Board is lightweight enough not to make the project heavy.

Stampin' Up Products Used:

Designer Series Paper: Winter Frost*
Ink Pads: none
Tools: Big Shot, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Typeset Alphabet Bigz Dies

  7. Coaster board is thinner than chipboard but heavier than cardstock and is sold by Stampin' Up.
