Simply Stars for FMS91 & CTD247

Happy Monday, Stampers! I won't bore you with the details of my weekend, but I hope yours was awesome!  I was crazy busy but squeezed in just a bit of stamping time last night and came up with this simple card for two challenges. I inked up a couple new stamp sets for the first time, Simply Stars and Gorgeous Grunge. I intend on sending this card off to one of our nation's heroic service members through Operation Write Home.

Thank you to the design team at Color Throwdown for providing this patriotic color scheme and for inspiring my project. If their inspiration photo doesn't make you want to start signing the national anthem, then I don't know what does!

The perfect layout for my project was provided by Cindy at Freshly Made Sketches. I reversed the position of the banner as I wanted to use the greeting in the Banner Greetings stamp set, which I thought was the perfect way to say thank you.

No bling is permitted in an OWH card, especially anything glittery or sparkly. That's OK, because I think these simple patriotic images and the color scheme get the message across all on their own.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Simply Stars, Banner Greetings, Gorgeous Grunge
Card Stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Real Red
Ink Pads: Crumb Cake, Real Red, Night of Navy
Tools: Scallop Edge Border Punch
Accessories: Crumb Cake Taffeta Ribbon

Happy Stamping!
