Good day, Stampers! I just didn't get a spare moment in my craft room yesterday and had no card to post. I really don't like when that happens. The day feels like it flies right past without any "me" time. So, I'm happy to be back with a project today!
I have a simple card to share with you today using the Morning Meadow Stamp Set. I really love the combination of colors: Pistachio Pudding, Raspberry Ripple and Whisper White. Actually, I'm loving Pistachio Pudding with nearly anything! I had originally intended on this card being a little more complex, but everything I tried to add to it didn't look right. So it turned out to be a simple card with the focus on the beautiful images from the Morning Meadow Stamp Set.
The inspiration for the layout came from the sketch this week at Retro Sketches. Since I used Pistachio Pudding Ruffled Ribbon for the zig zag element to the right, I thought I needed to eliminate the bow at the top. My lone little birdie replaced the cross hatching.
The floral image stamp from the Morning Meadow Stamp Set was colored with Pistachio Pudding and Raspberry Ripple markers. I stamped it once, then two more times without re-inking for a "stamped off" effect. The greeting was stamped in Black Stazon and the entire panel popped up with Dimensionals.
