Gingham Garden Baby Quilt

Greetings, Stampers! Wow, what a difference a day makes. Sunday was beautiful and sunny and near 90, and I was feelin' fine. Yesterday it was pouring rain, only about 70 degrees, and I woke up with a monstrous sore throat. I hate summer colds! Aside from going to the doctor,   I never left the house and alternated between resting and puttering around in my craft room, a welcome distraction from pain!

I'm really enjoying working with my new products from the new Stampin' Up Catalog. There is a gorgeous selection of Designer Series Paper this year, but if you asked me which one was my favorite it would be Gingham Garden, hands down. I love the colors, I love the patterns and I love gingham!

I made this cute baby card using 1 1/4" squares of the Gingham Garden paper. They were adhered to a panel of Pear Pizzazz Card Stock and then run through the Big Shot using the Square Lattice Embossing Folder. The result is a panel of paper with the squares embedded into the card stock, hence the name of the technique: Embedded Embossing. A simple greeting and a button was all that was needed to finish this card off.
