Greetings, Stampers! Did you all enjoy your weekend? I did, and I did a little gardening since it was so nice out. I hear there are places still getting snow, though. If that's you, I'm wishing some warm weather your way!
The other day when I received my sneak peek order including the Simply Sketched stamp set, I stamped all three images onto watercolor paper with the thought of making a trio of cards. This is the second card, and I love this image as much as the first. I'm also sharing some brand new colors which I also love, Pistachio Pudding and Strawberry Slush. Yumm!
I went in search of a clean and simple layout, and over at CAS(e) this Sketch they had the perfect one, by Karolyn. I kept the layout but shifted the orientation to landscape, so I could use another one of the greetings from this set.
Isn't this pretty poppy just gorgeous? These images are so, so easy to watercolor using your Aqua Painter and ink pads. I used Strawberry Slush for the blossom, Pistachio Pudding for the stems, and a little watered down Baked Brown Sugar for the shadow.
