Greetings, Stampers! Whoosh... this week is passing so quickly and I've hardly had any time to stamp. I'm late in posting this project as I opted for a movie with my son last night over stamping. Once in a while you have to do stuff other than stamp! We saw Iron Man, what an awesome movie! I love action flicks, especially the Marvel Comic super-hero ones. Anyway...
Today's project is for two challenges, one color and one sketch. I used the Secret Garden stamp set and one of my favorite colors that will be retiring soon, Baja Breeze. I also used some DSP from a pack that I seem to be reaching for time and time again lately, Floral District.
The color scheme was provided by Dynamic Duos. Like I said, I love Baja Breeze and was looking forward to using it, but I had a little bit of a hard time pulling this card together. It actually sat on my desk unfinished for three days. I hate when that happens!!!
Then, to the rescue came the sketch by Narelle at Freshly Made Sketches. I already had the almost makings of this sketch sitting on my desk, and the banners below my doily pulled everything together perfectly. Thanks, Narelle!
The floral images were stamped with the Secret Garden stamp set and cut out with matching framelits. I love coordinating framelits and punches! Some texture was added with embossing folders and some paper piercing.
