Father's Day Scrapbook Pages

Greetings, Stampers! Brr... It was a little chilly on Long Island yesterday. It's kind of hard to believe Memorial Day is right around the corner. When is spring going to arrive?

Weather permitting or not, June is around the corner and it's time for Dad's, Grad's and Weddings! Last month my scrapbook class made pages for Mom, and to give Dad equal time we have pages for him this month. My pages feature an assortment of stamp sets, and the color scheme revolves around Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper.

The base of these pages is 12"x12" Crumb Cake Card Stock. I kept the layout pretty simple because I know the men in my life prefer clean and simple. The color scheme is bright but masculine at the same time. I used the Chevron Embossing Folder at the top of both pages. The Cherry Cobbler Card Stock was embossed and then cut by hand, which was pretty easy already having the embossed lines in place. The stamp with the looseleaf type lines is long retired but one I won't part with it because it's so perfect for scrapbooking.

Lots of the awesome colors and products used here are retiring at the end of this month, and you can see which ones by noting the asterisks below. I will especially miss the alphabet set, Letter It, though I doubt I'll part with that one either! It looks terrific when heat embossed and it's so easy to cut out by hand. Here's another of my favorites, Beyond Plaid...
