Stippled Blossoms for Two Challenges

Greetings once again, Stampers! I'm here today with a project for two challenges, using a stamp set I really love, Stippled Blossoms. It's a two step set, meaning you stamp the base image in one color and the accents in a darker color. Scroll down to the image of the stamp set and you'll understand what I mean.

It's monochromatic week at Dynamic Duos, a perfect time to ink up a two step set. Regal Rose is a color I don't use all that often because it's such a bright pink, but I think it looks gorgeous toned down with Pretty in Pink and a couple of neutrals, Very Vanilla and Crumb Cake.
I went in search of a layout, and I thought the one at Pals Paper Arts was perfect. The large panel left plenty of room for a sentiment and lots of flora.

As I said, the Stippled Blossoms set is a two step set. I stamped the base image in Pretty in Pink, and the second stamp in Regal Rose. The leaves were stamped in Crumb Cake for both steps. They were both cut out by hand. The greeting is from a stamp set called Wonderful Mother, a great set for Mother's Day or for Mom's birthday.

I distressed the larger Regal Rose layer with a distressing tool. The embossed layer was done with the Fancy Fan Embossing Folder. Both patterns of DSP are from the Brights Stack.

  3. This is so pretty with the Stippled Blossoms. I still don't have that so I love seeing cards made with it. The pinks look so "springy"! Hopefully, we'll see some real pink blooms soon! Thanks for joining us at the Pals Paper Arts.
