Greetings, Stampers! The sun has finally returned here in south Florida and I'll be enjoying it as much as possible before I return back north next week. Hubby is doing awesome, and though we'll miss the warm weather, we're anxious to get back to life as usual.
Though I'm still working with limited supplies, the one tool I do have in my possession is a heat tool. I thought I'd take it out today and try the Chalkboard Technique which is so popular right now. I used the Vintage Verses Stamp Set, which I think works perfectly for this technique.
The inspiration for the layout was provided by the Retro Sketches sketch challenge for this week. I'm getting my project added just in the nick of time to play along!
Chalkboard Technique: super easy and super cute! Just use a piece of black card stock. I used textured because that's all I had at the moment. Stamp the image in Versamark Ink and heat emboss with White Embossing Powder. Using a sponge and some White Craft Ink, sponge a little randomly to give the effect of chalk. One warning: less is more! Swirl your sponge around a bit on the back of your card stock to practice until it's subtle enough.
