Pacific Point Poppies

Greetings, Stampers! Did you know... that poppies come in many colors, not only red? The blue poppy is the rarest of all. One of the places you can see this species of poppy is at Longwood Botanical Gardens in Pennsylvania. I've been to Longwood Gardens, but not when the blue poppies were in bloom. Maybe next time...

All that being said, I'm sad to say that I have depleted my supply of sympathy cards and needed to make a few more. I had this idea for a card using the Pleasant Poppies stamp, but thought that a blue poppy would be most appropriate.

The awesome CAS layout was provided by this week's challenge at CAS(e) this Sketch. I needed to elongate the center panel to accommodate my stamp, otherwise it was perfect!

The poppies were stamped in Black Stazon Ink onto Whisper White Card Stock. I used an Aqua Painter and ink pads to color the poppies in. That's it, a very simple card.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Pleasant Poppies, Loving Thoughts
Card Stock: Whisper White, Sahara Sand, Pacific Point
Ink Pads: Black Stazon, Sahara Sand, Pacific Point
Tools: Aqua Painter

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and visit! Inky hugs!
