Artistic Etchings for FMS78

Greetings, Stampers! How was your weekend? Mine passed quickly, as always, but I did manage to make three cards yesterday. That's a big accomplishment for me. I'm a slow stamper! I tend to stare at things for a long time and take forever to make decisions. Anyone else in that boat?

I created today's project for this week's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches. I'd planned on making something entirely different, but when it was finished I decided I hated it. See what I mean?

The background was stamped collage style with Crumb Cake and Cherry Cobbler ink onto Crumb Cake Card Stock. The focal image was stamped on Whisper White Card Stock using Crumb Cake and Black Stazon ink. Then I cut the image out using the Apothecary Accent Framelit, and embossed with the Designer Frame Embossing Folder to give it a little texture. It's hard to see, but the black background is pierced around the edge.

One of my followers commented recently that I haven't posted a picture of my kitty Oreo in a while, so here you go! He likes to watch the bubbles float around on the screen saver of my monitor. He was actually sick a few weeks ago with a respiratory infection, but feels much better now. Good thing, we were getting tired of wiping his runny nose, and trust me when I say he didn't like it either!

  1. Now that gives a whole new meaning to cat television (we have a bird feeder that ours is obsessed with). Love the card! Great colors and the embossing is cool! Glad you joined us this week at FMS!
