Secret Garden and Print Poetry

Greetings, Stampers! I'm back from a little vacation; did you miss me? Thanks to those of you who inquired of my well being after the big blizzard we had here. We got about two feet of snow with howling winds in the area I live, but fortunately for me I was sunning myself in Fort Lauderdale, Florida at the time. The weather was glorious, 80 degrees every day. I brought some crafting supplies with me with the intention of blogging while I was away, but I was having so much trouble with my camera and my internet connection that I just gave up. So I'll be doing a little catch-up for the rest of this week.

This is one of the cards I made while I was away. I didn't pack any ink pads, only markers, so the stamps were all colored with markers. There are so many things you can do with markers and they are so easy to travel with. I didn't pack my big shot but I did bring a few pieces of embossed backgrounds in Very Vanilla. I also packed the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, as its compact size was perfect to bring along. The Secret Garden Stamp Set has coordinating Framelit Dies available, but I couldn't use those, either, so I cut out my blossoms by hand. It was a fun time to get back to some stamping basics: just stamps, paper and ink!

You never disappoint us Sandy! I love the card and its beautiful simplicity. So glad you had a great vacation. We live in Florida and have had a very mild winter making it wonderful to be outside to enjoy the sunshine!
