Retro Hexagons

Greetings, Stampers! I'm well into week two of my exile in Florida. OK, there are worse places you can be in the month of February so I won't complain. Stamping here has been really challenging, though. I have no Big Shot, no punches, just a few stamp sets and ink pads, and two packs of DSP. Rifling through my supplies last night I was inspired to do something with the Oh, Hello Stamp Set and I came up with this clean and simple card.

The challenge at Retro Sketches this week is to chose any of their previous 52 challenges. Fun! This one grabbed my eye right away, especially since I was in possession of designer paper with hexagons on it. I love this sketch and translated it quite literally.

The Tea for Two designer paper has a page with a hexagon design, so all I had to do was cut them out by hand. The flower was stamped twice, once in Lucky Limeade and once in Calypso Coral. I layered the flower, cut it out by hand, and popped it up with some snippets of Dimensionals. A piece of Linen Thread ties things up.

Stampin' Up Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Oh Hello
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Designer Series Paper: Tea for Two
Ink Pads: Lucky Limeade, Calypso Coral
Accessories: Linen Thread

Thanks for stopping by today!

Sandy, you went retro in more than just the sketch! You are stamping retro like we did back in the day w/o all the fancy tools we have now. And you did a bang-up job of it, too!!

I hope DH is getting stronger every day. xxoo Darnell
