Greetings, Stampers! I hope you'll all be enjoying your Super Bowl Sunday later today. I'm not a big football fan, but I do like watching the commercials! While the men in the family are watching the big game, I'll likely slink away to my craft room to see what I can create.
Today is also a new Paper Players challenge! This week is a theme challenge by Nance, to create a Sympathy card. What better way to show that you truly care than with a thoughtful handmade card?
Love and Sympathy is my go-to stamp set for such an occasion. Those who know me, know that I love a stamp set that comes with an inside and outside greeting. This set has one simple image, both those greetings, and is classy and elegant. There are so many ways to change it up, that honestly, it's the only sympathy stamp set you'll ever need. OK, now you know how much I love this set!
The floral image stamp was colored with Wisteria Wonder and Lucky Limeade Markers. Aside from the stamps, what makes this card so elegant is the beautiful embossed background, which was created with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. I embossed the top portion of the card, leaving a section outside the embossing folder, so I could stamp a greeting below.
I stamped the floral image a second time on the inside of the card, without re-inking, to achieve a more subtle image. The sweet greeting for the inside was stamped right on top.
