A Huge Sigh of Relief

I'm not quite sure where to begin with this post. Earlier this month hubby and I spent a week together in Florida. (Our home is in New York). I flew home and he was to follow shortly thereafter by car. To make a long story short, two days later he was in the hospital. I got right back on a plane and flew back.

Bill was suffering from congestive heart failure, kidney failure and pneumonia. He spent a long ten days in Intensive Care hooked up to breathing and feeding tubes, and was heavily sedated. During this time I was holding it together pretty well, but didn't have the courage to talk about it on my blog for fear I would lose my composure by seeing the words in print.

Two days ago the breathing and feeding tubes were removed and yesterday he was moved out of ICU. Though he is still very weak, he's expected to make a full recovery. I look forward to bringing him home soon.

To the few people who knew about this situation and offered their support, I can't thank you enough. To all my friends out there in Blog-Land, may I humbly suggest that you tell your family you love them today.

Hugs,
