Pines & Poinsettias for Merry Monday

Greetings, Stampers! Yes, that is a Christmas card you see in front of you. I know, you've barely vacuumed up the needles and tinsel and here I am with another Christmas card. The inspiration was the Merry Monday Challenge, which runs year round. Their challenges are meant to inspire you to make a Holiday card each week, that way you'll have a whole stash by Christmas!

This card took me less than ten minutes to make. Before you scream "Liar!", let me explain. I have a tray of leftover bits and pieces of holiday parts that never made it to completed projects. C'mon, I know you have one of those, too. I already had the white panel embossed and stamped with a greeting, the card base was already made, and I even had a white circle punched out.

Lesley from Merry Monday has a Tic-Tac-Toe challenge board to inspire us; I love those!  My card could have gone in a few different directions, but let's just say I chose to go down the middle: Dry Embossing, Colour with Markers and Red and Green.

My stamped image is from the retired Pines and Poinsettias Stamp Set. I colored the stamp with markers to achieve the three different colors. While I was at it, I even stamped an envelope to match.
