Greetings, Stampers! So we're back around to Monday already. How'd that happen? It was a busy blogging weekend for me. Saturday was the Control Freaks Blog Tour, and Sunday was a new challenge from The Paper Players. Now I need to focus on birthday cards. There are so many birthdays on my calendar for the end of January it's crazy! This is one I made over the weekend, using the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set and Parker's Patterns Designer Series Paper.
I'm participating in two challenges today. The first one is Seize the Birthday. Oh, and by the way, spell check has corrected me enough times now that I can properly spell 'seize'! This week their challenge is to use the sketch and make a masculine card. Perfect, as this card will be for my nephew.
The challenge at Friday Mashup is to make a project with a birthday theme, make a project using brads, or "Mash it Up" and do both. I was already halfway there and only needed to add a few brads to mash mine up!
I love this vintage Ferris wheel. It comes from the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set which can be earned free from Stampin' Up with a $50 purchase during Sale-A-Bration, which begins on January 22. It fit nicely inside a shape cut from the Labels Collection Framelits Dies. The edges were sponged with Crumb Cake Ink. The greeting is from the Teeny Tiny Wishes Stamp Set and was cut with the Modern Label and Word Window punches.
The 'Celebrate' greeting comes from the Feeling Sentimental Stamp Set, as well. I couldn't fit it on the front of the card so I decided to use it on the inside. I stamped it over the Ferris wheel image which was stamped in Crumb Cake this time.
