A Vintage Valentine for The Paper Players

Greetings, Stampers! I'm very excited to be a guest designer at The Paper Players for the first time today! This week Ann has provided us with a timely theme challenge, "Love is in the Air". I make lots of Valentines Day cards every year so this challenge worked out great for me.

I was inspired to create a Vintage Valentine using lots of new goodies from the Stampin' Up Spring Catalog. As you can see, I went a little crazy with accessories, but I figured, why not? More is more when is comes to vintage cards, at least I think so! I wanted to use some non-traditional colors, so I opted for Calypso Coral and Lucky Limeade which was inspired by the Tea for Two Designer Series Paper.

Some of the scrumptious accessories used include 5/8" Flower Trim (which I adore), Tea Lace Paper Doilies and some crumpled up Crumb Cake Tafetta Ribbon. The greeting is from the Delightful Dozen Stamp Set and was colored with markers.

For the Calyspo Coral heart, I used the Hearts a Flutter Stamp Set with Versamark Ink and heat embossed it with White Embossing Powder. A Vintage Faceted Designer Button was tied off with a little White Baker's Twine.

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
