Pennant Parade for DD#31

Greetings, Stampers! Is it Monday again already? My weekend flew by, but I did squeeze in a little time to make some cards and also some handmade Christmas Gifts. I'll be blogging the gifts later in the month, after I've given them to the recipients. I don't want to spoil the surprise! This is one of the cards I made this weekend, using the Pennant Parade stamp set and coordinating Petite Pennant punch. I just love the pennants turned upside down as trees. aren't they the cutest?

The inspiration for this card was found with this week's Dynamic Duos color challenge, Certainly Celery and Real Red. It's such a fresh-looking color combination for Christmas. Celery is one of my favorite shades of green, and one of the first Ink Pads I ever purchased. I'm glad to see it getting some face-time!

The only ink pad used to make this card was Versamark, which I heat embossed with White Embossing Powder. I think the crisp white adds to the freshness of these colors. The tree trunks were cut out by hand using scraps, and the star was cut out with a punch from the Merry Minis Punch Pack.

The snowflakes in the background were stamped with a stamp from the Confetti stamp set, a set of six small background stamps. They were also heat embossed.

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Pennant Parade, Confetti, More Merry Messages
Card Stock: Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Real Read, Certainly Celery
Designer Series Paper: Brights Stack
Ink Pads: Versamark
Tools: Heat Tool, Pettite Pennants Punch, Merry Minis Punch Pack, Circle Scissor Plus (retired)
Accessories: White Embossing Powder, Whisper White Stitched Grosgrain Ribbon

Have an awesome day and an even better week!

Sandy
