Owl Punch Penguins for The Paper Players

Greetings, Stampers, and Merry Christmas Eve! Boy, I have lots to do today as dinner is at my house. However, my oldest son, who has taken an interest in cooking the last several years, will be preparing quite a bit of the meal. It's really hard for me to surrender control (just ask my family!), but he's an amazing cook and it will be an awesome meal, for sure. Anyway, that freed me up a little to do a blog post. These adorable little penguins were created using the Stampin' Up Two Step Owl Punch. I could just eat them up, they're so cute!

This snowy scene was inspired by the challenge at The Paper Players this week, to create a project featuring snowflakes. It's also a CAS challenge. My project is simple enough, just stamps, paper, ink and one punch to create it. Regarding clean, what's cleaner than freshly fallen snow, LOL! By the way, I also have big news: I will be a Guest Designer at The Paper Players beginning with their next challenge. I'm so excited!

The background was created using the Confetti Stamp Set. It's such a great little background set that I think people forget about as it's kind of tucked into a corner of the catalog. I used the snowflake stamp with Marina Mist ink to stamp the falling snow. Then, I went over the stamped image with a White Gel Pen, just to highlight the little dots. The snow on the ground was created by tearing Whisper White Card Stock and then sponging the edges with a little Bashful Blue ink. Easy!

Stampin' Up! Products Used:
Stamp Sets: More Merry Messages, Confetti
Card Stock: Whisper White, Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Pumpkin Pie
Ink Pads: Basic Black, Bashful Blue, Marina Mist
Tools: Two Step Owl Punch, Sponge Dauber
Accessories: White Gel Pen

Have a very Merry Christmas Eve!
