Greetings, Stampers! Are you all ready for the weekend? Have some holiday shopping planned? Perhaps decorating, or maybe making some cards? I'll be doing all of the above! It's been a while since I combined a color and sketch challenge together, so I thought I'd give it a whirl today. I pulled out my retired Jolly Old Saint Nick stamp set once again, and used it to give this simple card a retro-Christmas feel.
The starting point for my inspiration was the awesome color combination from the Color Throwdown Challenge. I loved these colors together as soon as I saw them and knew I had to play along. I was even inspired to use a Santa in my project, and to add just a small touch of green as in the inspiration photo.
The perfect layout for Santa was this sketch from the Merry Monday challenge. This time, they are having a two week "Any Past Sketch" challenge. There were lots of great sketches to chose from.
Santa was stamped in Black Stazon Ink. The Crumb Cake and Riding Hood Red were added with ink pads and a Blender Pen. His skin was colored with a Blush Blossom Marker. The edges of the card stock were also sponged with some more Crumb Cake ink to give it a vintage feel.
