Dapper Dad Sneak Peek for FMS64

Greetings, Stampers! How are all my bloggy friends today? I'm doing just fine, and immensely enjoying playing with all my "loot" from the new Spring Catalog which I pre-ordered last week. I love the perks of being a Stampin' Up Demonstrator! Today I have a masculine card for you, featuring the Dapper Dad Stamp Set. It's a set of three stamps, with images of a watch, a shoe and bow tie. It's perfect for Father's Day, masculine birthdays, and many other occasions when you need a "guy" card.

The layout was provided by this week's Freshly Made Sketches sketch challenge. Although it's kind of hard to see in my photo, I do have a row of piercings under the greeting as in the sketch.  I replaced the scalloped circle with a shape cut using the Apothecary Accents Framelits. It was just the right size for my watch!

As soon as I saw this watch image, it reminded me of my Skagen watch, and I thought I'd try heat embossing it with Pewter Embossing Powder. Love it! The paper in the background reminds me of a pattern in a silk tie. It's from the Print Poetry Designer Series Paper Stack, which is filled with oodles of patterns both feminine and masculine, and features all the new In-Colors.

  1. Wow, great card! That framelit was made for that stamp. For some reason, it reminds me of a watch box! Very cool. Thanks for playing along with my sketch this week at Freshly Made Sketches!
