White Watercolor Winter For RS38 and PP122

Greetings, Stampers! I have a card to share with you today which I created for two challenges, something I haven't done in a while. It features an image from the lovely Watercolor Winter Stamp Set, and a greeting from More Merry Messages, my favorite greetings stamp set for the holidays. Everything is embossed with Gold Embossing Powder on Very Vanilla Card Stock. Rather elegant, don't you think?

The first challenge is from The Paper Players. LeAnne has challenged us to feature some gold or silver in our creation. I jumped all over that, especially since a family member (the toughest critic) informed me recently that my holiday projects aren't sparkly enough. So here I am with my gold, sparkly project!

I had a stamp set in mind for this project, and went in search of a sketch that it would work well with, and that I could layer some Glimmer Paper on. The Retro Sketches layout this week was absolutely perfect.

Though very simple and easy to do, this card has lots of yummy texture. The base layer is embossed with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder. On top of that is a layer of Champagne Glimmer Paper. The top two layers have the glossy shine of gold embossing.
Stampin' Up! Products Used:
Stamp Sets: Watercolor Winter, More Merry Messages
Card Stock: Very Vanilla
Ink Pads: Versamark
Tools: Big Shot, Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder, Square Punch, Heat Tool
Accessories: Gold Embossing Powder, Champagne Glimmer Paper
