Turkey Seconds?

I know, I've been kind of MIA. Life has been quite abnormal lately. Where to begin? A hurricane (which shall remain nameless), power outages, gas shortages, and a houseful of guests displaced by above mentioned storm for starters. Oh yeah, and then a snowstorm to top it off. I'd had enough of it all and escaped to Florida for a week with my DH. I gave my house over to guests, with instructions on when to take out the garbage and feed the cat, who is rather annoyed at me for leaving him with strangers. Well, I'm back in New York now and trying to get somewhat back to normal, which includes blogging again. So here I am.

Everybody seems to love projects made with the Stampin' Up Owl Builder Punch. So, I didn't think you'd mind if I posted a Thanksgiving project I made with it last year. Who doesn't like turkey second helpings? The only things that are retired on the card are the designer paper and ribbon, which you could easily replace with something current. If I was re-making this card now, I think I'd use Comfort Cafe Designer Paper and Summer Starfruit Stitched Satin Ribbon.

There are three punches used in this project: the Owl Builder Punch, Scallop Circle Punch (for the tail fan), and a punch from the Itty Bitty Punch Pack (for the wattle). The beak is just a small square folded in half. Fun. Easy.

  1. Hey there Sandy ..How cute is this turkey !!! I love things you can convert or repurpose...

I really wanted to send good wishes your way ...We went through Hugo here several years ago and it was terrible . Didn`t have power for 2 weeks...trees down and powerlines down and all over cars ... It really makes you appreciate everyday life !

Hugs, Sandy. I am so sorry for everything you have gone through. Somehow you have come through with grace and humor and your trademark creativity (I call you the queen of card challenges) intact. Thank you and bless you.
